A wireless security system are ideal for old, and large properties, but there are times when a standard wire free system might not be good enough. Enter the Ricochet wire free system.
In old properties, such as those that are timber-framed, or period, it can be impractical and near impossible to install a hard-wired system, which makes a wireless system perfect. But if the property is large, the signal strength can suffer.
You could improve the signal by installing repeater panels, but they can be costly, and may not always help the problem.
The Ricochet system uses the devices in the system to bounce the signal along through the system to make sure the signal is strong throughout.
For example, if you have a large property, signal at the point which is farthest away from the control panel will be weaker. Using the Ricochet system, devices in the system can bounce the signal along, meaning the signal will be good throughout the system.
If you found that you were still struggling with signal strength, extra devices can be added to the system.
We’ve used this system a lot on domestic and commercial properties, especially larger and old properties.
We recently installed the Ricochet system at an old cinema which had lots of 30s murals and original features that we couldn’t touch. The system had to be wire free, but because of the size of the building a standard wire free system wouldn’t have worked.
The Ricochet system was perfect for this situation because it is wire free, and can ensure signal is strong through the cinema, without getting in the way of original features.
